If you are signed up for credit reporting (but not connected with your property management company), you can opt-out/cancel credit reporting two ways:
The opt-out process depends on whether the enrollment was initiated directly by the tenant or facilitated by the property management company.
Open the app and navigate to the Credit tab. Then, select the 'Settings' button, proceeded by 'Manage linked accounts'. Finally, click 'Cancel Credit Engine' and confirm your selection.
You can also open the app, navigate to the 'More' tab, then select 'Manage services'. From there, select 'Credit Engine', click 'Unenroll', and then confirm your selection. 3. If you have opted into credit reporting independently, such as through the "Credit Reported" feature related to AB 2747, you can complete the opt-out process using the following form: Jamison Management Co AB 2747 Opt-Out Form.
If you were signed up by your property management company to have your rent payments reported to the credit bureau(s), you will need to contact your property management company directly. Use their designated channels, such as email, phone, or their online portal, to notify them of your decision to opt-out of the reporting service.
Special Considerations
Opt-out requests may take several days to process, depending on the service or company.
Keep a record of communication or form submissions for future reference.
Opting out could affect your credit-building progress; consider this before making a decision.
