How do you know that I’ve paid rent on-time?

If you enrolled on your own (not through your property manager), you can self-report your rent payments in the app and earn Piñata Points. It’s that simple!

Points for rent payments are credited on a scheduled basis, typically on the 5th of the new month, after completing the necessary verification steps.

How to Verify Your Piñata Points

To ensure the points have been successfully credited, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Piñata app.

  2. Navigate to the My Points section.

  3. Review your Piñata Points history to confirm the addition of your Monthly Rent Experience reward points. If you believe you’ve completed the check-in but didn’t receive your points:

  • Double-check whether the check-in was fully completed for the current month.

  • Confirm the credited date by reviewing your My Points history in the app.

  • If points are still missing, reach out to Piñata’s support team for assistance.

If you joined Piñata through your landlord, each month they will report if you paid rent on-time. Once we hear from them, we'll give you Piñata Points for being awesome and hit you up to come collect your reward!
